  • Open the software and then choose Start -> Printer name

  • Touch your wireless network name, once the printer displays it on the LCD panel
  • Alternatively, touch Enter New Network Name if your network name is not featured on the list
  • Manually, enter the name of your network and then the password (remember both these are case sensitive) and then click on Done
  • Up until then, you will see the wireless light is blinking – but once connectivity is established, it stops blinking and remains constant
  • Print a Network Test Report to ascertain that the printer is indeed back online

Manual Buttons with no Touchscreen

  • To temporarily establish a wireless connection to the printer, you can use the associated cable between the cable and the computer
  • You can also use the HP Smart and Wi-Fi Protected Setup or WPS to resolve the HP Printer Offline issue

WPS

  • The WPS button is available on the router
  • Alternatively, use the HP Smart App, if your router does not support WPS
  • Press Cancel if the printer is in Sleep Mode, or turn the printer on
  • Hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons both together and press them down for a while
  • The power light starts blinking and thereafter, the wireless light also begins blinking
  • When you see these signs, it means the network has been reset
  • For about 2 hours the printer remains in setup mode
  • Now, go to the router and press the WPS button and keep it that way for about 3 to 5 seconds until the process begins
  • You can always attempt the steps again if the WPS has not been able to identify a connection
  • The blue wireless light on the printer stops blinking and becomes stable, once the wireless network connectivity has been established

HP Smart

  • For Windows 10 computers, you can conveniently use the HP Smart App to connect the printer with the wireless
  • Ensure that the computer is also connected to a similar network as is the printer
  • On the printer press Cancel -> Hold Wireless + Cancel buttons
  • Download HP Smart available on the Microsoft Store on the computer -> Launch -> Printer icon -> Set Up a new printer -> Continue
